Couhaib Driouech, the PSV winger, is at the center of transfer rumors after his move to Rangers collapsed. The £7 million deal was affected by a muscle injury in his thigh, which Rangers' medical staff estimated could keep him sidelined for six weeks. The 24-year-old had traveled to Glasgow to attend Rangers' Europa League match against Jagiellonia Bialystok but returned to Eindhoven after the deal fell through. Driouech explained the decision wasn't his fault: "They had a disagreement with the medical staff, and I had no influence on that." The player, who is already training with PSV, said he feels fine and the incident doesn't affect his availability for other clubs.
PSV director Earnie Stewart confirmed the injury was "minor" and the player could be available within a week. However, Rangers expressed concern about the potential slow recovery. Now, Celta Vigo, which had previously shown interest in Driouech before the collapse, has reactivated its pursuit. According to Dutch outlet Soccer News, Columbus Crew and Red Bull Salzburg are also in contact with the Dutch club. Salzburg's coach, Danny Rohl, former Rangers director, could influence the final decision. Driou, seeking a new challenge, considered joining Rangers a "big step" but didn't rule out other options.
