I expect Altay Bayindir to bring both the highs and lows with him to Celta Vigo. The former Fenerbahce player can have moments of brilliance, but the lows are also limited. I remember when he shone by saving two penalties against Arsenal, helping Manchester United progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
However, there were times when Bayindir and Andre Onana caused us headaches as they rotated in and out during a season, making errors that were comical at times. Trust me, Celta Vigo supporters, it was not a nice time for Manchester United fans watching them under Ruben Amorim or Erik ten Hag.
What are your expectations for Cristian Orozco in his first season at Man Utd?
The Onana and Bayindir partnership was often a comedic act. I don’t feel good as a Manchester United fan seeing them together under Ruben Amorim or Erik ten Hag.
I do not have a crystal ball to predict how Bayindir’s stint in La Liga will play out, but he is an experienced goalkeeper with both club and international experience. Additionally, he has left a positive impression on Old Trafford fans who had the privilege of crossing paths with him off the pitch.
I sincerely hope that Celta Vigo has better luck with Bayindir and can secure regular playing time for him next season. All I can add to Celta Vigo supporters is that it really is a roll of the dice with how he will perform each time he steps on the field.
