Celta Vigo has announced its first pre-season friendlies for the 26/27 season. The Sky Blues, led by Claudio Giráldez, will face Sporting Braga on July 18 at the Municipal Stadium in the Portuguese city. This will be the second consecutive time that Celta Vigo has played Sporting Braga's presentation match. Last summer, Celta Vigo won 3-1 in the same match. A week later, Celta Vigo will face Sporting Gijón, from the Second Division, on July 25 at the A Lomba field, in the Galician town of Vilagarcía de Arousa. The schedules for the matches are not yet known. Celta Vigo will begin its pre-season on July 6 with medical recognition and training starting on July 8. The Vigo team will aim to prepare for a new season in La Liga, after qualifying for the Europa League for the second consecutive year. Celta Vigo's squad has confirmed the renewal of Iago Aspas and the signing of Aleix Febas. As time goes on, Celta Vigo will have to manage three competitions, which makes the pre-season crucial for loading batteries. So, the Sky Blues fans are eagerly awaiting the pre-season friendlies. But, for now, only the first two matches are known. Celta Vigo is on vacation until July 6, and then will begin its preparation for the new season. The training itself will start on July 8, when Claudio Giráldez gets to work. Celta Vigo will face tough opponents in the pre-season, but the team is ready for the challenge.
