Celta Vigo Considera Loan Deal for Domínguez
Celta de Vigo is exploring the possibility of loaning out defender Carlos Domínguez to Málaga, according to reports from Cazurreando. Domínguez has been with the club since 2020/21 and made his Europa League debut last season, but only played eight La Liga matches.
Málaga's Defensive Crisis
Málaga is currently facing a significant defensive crisis due to several key players being unavailable. Moussa Diarra will miss a large part of the season, while Diego Murillo still needs recovery time after an injury. Álex Pastor has just returned from nearly a year out and Einar Galilea has only recently rejoined the squad.
Additionally, Málaga now holds 26 registrations, one above the limit, making it necessary to free up a spot for new signings. If Domínguez were to join on loan, another player would need to leave the club. Sporting director Loren Juarros stated that they are proceeding calmly with ongoing work and analysis as developments occur.
Defence had not been a priority until recently, but Málaga is also working on an attacking midfield addition. The final weeks of the transfer window will be crucial as Málaga returns to La Liga for the first time in eight years on August 19 against Atlético de Madrid.
